Our pageant site (The Pageant Crown Ranking) congratulates France and Puerto Rico as new pageant powerhouses.
France who was in 17th place last year jump 2 places to place 15th this year while Puerto Rico is now rank 11 from rank 19 in 2018.
The pageant powerhouse ranking are based from the results of the 5 major pageants from the last 5 years (2015-2019).
Meanwhile, the Philippines still holds the number 1 spot as a pageant powerhouse country despite a not so good performance this year. Philippines strong hold in the top spot is because of its good performances in all major pageants in the past 4 years (2015 to 2018).
Thailand who topped the 2019 ranking in the 5 major pageants is now rank 3rd from 7th last 2018.
Completing the top pageant powerhouses this year are: Mexico (2nd), Venezuela (4th), Indonesia (5th), Vietnam (6th), Colombia (7th), United States (8th), South Africa (9th), India (10th), Brazil (12th), Australia (13th) and Japan (14th).
Unfortunately, Spain and Russia are now out in the top 15 pageant powerhouses. They are now rank 16th and 17th respectively.
A total of 166 countries and territories are listed in the pageant powerhouse ranking but only the top 15 are considered pageant powerhouses. For complete ranking, click here.
Other information:
- Tahiti, Papua New Guinea and Burkina Faso are the new comers in the ranking after competing in one or two of the 5 major pageants this year.
- There are 23 countries who did compete in the 2019 Big 5 Pageants (major pageants) but are still in the powerhouse ranking. These are Lebanon, Cyprus, Madagascar, Guinea, Switzerland, Lesotho, Latvia, Cuba, Martinique, Seychelles, Gabon, Iraq, Cape Verde, Pakistan, Congo, Bermuda, Macedonia, St. Kitss & Nevis, São Tomé & Príncipe, Estonia, Togo, Palestine and New Caledonia. Their scores from the last 4 years (2015 to 2018) still made them in the list.
- Turks & Caicos and Chad are now out from the ranking due to the absence in the five major pageants in the last 5 years.
