For the Year 2022, Miss World is the pageant with the highest number of attending or participating delegates/candidates. Miss World 2021 which celebrated its 70th edition was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 16, 2022 with 97 delegates. Karolina Bielawska of Poland was crowned.
Following Miss World pageant with the highest number of delegates is another alpha pageant that cares not only for the environment but also concern for fauna, and that is Miss Earth. Technically, 91 delegates were being presented during Miss Earth's virtual pre-pageant activities but during the on-site pageant activities in the Philippines, 86 delegates got the chance to travel for the face-to-face competition.
Next to Miss Earth pageant is Miss Supranational and Miss Intercontinental pageants with 70 candidates while Miss International had 68 candidates.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe pageant is expected to have more than 80 candidates and will hold its coronation on January 14 in New Orleans in the United States.
