Official Format for the 71st Miss World Festival

The 71st Miss World will be crowned on March 9th, at the @jioworldconventioncentre , 7:30 PM (2 PM GMT). The event will be live-streamed by @sonylivindia . 

 

The event will be hosted by @karanjohar and @meganbata .

 

Special music performances by @nehakakkar @singer_shaan and @tonykakkar .

 

The 71st Miss World Festival is being produced by @endemolshineind .

Miss World Pageant recently had their press conference held at the Aurika Mumbai Hotel in Mumbai, India. At the event, Julia Morley was joined by Miss World winners, Karolina Bielawska, Toni-Ann Singh, Vanessa Ponce de Leon, and Stephanie del Valle.

 

Mumbai will host the finale of the 71st edition of Miss World, to be held at the spectacular Jio World Convention Center, on March 9th, 7 PM local time (GMT 1:30 PM). This is the second time that the Miss World pageant has been held in India. More than 100 delegates are expected to compete in this year's pageant.

 

The Miss World final will be live-streamed by Sony Liv. From February 18th to March 9th, Miss World will bring the World to India, and take Incredible India to the World. Karolina Bielawska of Poland will crown her successor at the end of the event. 

 

 

Host Country for Miss World Revealed

According to the official Facebook page of Miss World, the 71st edition of the pageant is going to be in United Arab Emirates!!! 

 

The announcement was from Julia Morley CBE – Chairman of Miss World Limited. 

2022 Power 5 or Big 5 Pageants - Scores

 

Below are the scores and ranking of nations and territories who participated in the 2022 "Power 5 Pageants" or the "Big 5 Pageants". These scores will be used to determine the powerhouse countries. Powerhouse Ranking is annually updated after all the Big 5 pageants are held.

"Power 5 Pageants" or commonly known as the "Big Five" only includes Miss Universe, Miss Earth, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Supranational. And for the year 2022, there were 144 countries and territories who joined and competed in these Big 5 pageants.

Colombia emerged as the best performing country in the Big 5 pageants followed by the United States and Venezuela. India who was the best performing country in 2021 dropped its ranking to 11th place while the Philippines who ranked second last year placed 7th for year 2022.

Big & Major Pageants Cancelled for Year 2020

Due to COVID pandemic, two major pageants are cancelled.

Last month, it was announced that the 70th edition of Miss World will be held in the latter part of 2021 and host country will be confirmed soon.

Prior to that, Miss International also cancelled this year's 60th edition which was originally scheduled on October 29.

With the cancellation of the 2020 Miss International pageant, 2019 winner Sireethorn Leearamwat will become the longest-reigning titleholder in history. She is the first Thai woman to win the crown.

Meanwhile, Miss Earth is reportedly to hold its first ever virtual pageant this year after a successful 2020 Miss Earth Philippines virtual pageant which was held last July 5. Miss Earth will celebrate its 20th edition.

Miss Universe on the other hand has not yet schedule its pageant for this year and there are no report of pageant cancellation.
